Travel Plan For Canadians
If you’re planning on travelling out of the province or out of the country, Travel Insurance for Travelling Canadians gives you a simple, affordable way to protect against the cost of unexpected emergency medical expenses and more that may happen during your trip.
Your provincial health plan only covers a fraction of healthcare expenses incurred outside Canada and limits coverage when travelling to another province. Yet illness and accidents are just a few of the all-too-common incidents that could leave you facing significant out-of-pocket expenses when travelling.
Travel medical insurance covers up to $10 million per person. Your finances will be safeguarded in the event of an unforeseen unexpected medical emergency during your trip. To increase your financial protection, coverage is also available for non-medical expenses like trip cancellation/interruption and baggage loss.
Choose the plan that’s right for you
Travel insurance for Travelling Canadians offers you four Single-Trip and two Multi-Trip plans to choose from, so you only pay for the coverage you want and need. Emergency Medical Top-Up coverage is available for trips that exceed the maximum trip-length of your Multi-Trip plan.
Comprehensive coverage
Covers you for up to $10,000,000 CAD in emergency medical care including physician services, ambulance services, semi-private hospital accommodation, prescription drugs, diagnostic tests, treatment by registered specialists/therapists such as chiropractors and physiotherapists, and more. Also includes coverage towards the cost of bringing someone to your bedside and/or transporting you home.
A plan that’s right for every type of traveller
Single-Trip plans protect you for one trip, while Multi-Trip or annual plans cover you for an unlimited number of trips during one year, with options for trip durations, no matter where, when or how often you travel.
